There could be several reasons why some people prefer music from the past over current music. Here are a few possible explanations:

Listening to music from their youth can transport them back in time and evoke positive emotions, making them more inclined to prefer that music over newer songs.

3. Personal taste: Everyone has different tastes in music, and some people may simply prefer the styles of music that were popular in the past. For example, they might enjoy the simplicity of 1950s rock and roll or the soulful sounds of 1960s Motown.

 

4. Lack of exposure: It’s possible that some people haven’t been exposed to enough contemporary music to form an opinion about it. If someone primarily listens to classic rock radio stations or their own collection of older music, they may not have had the opportunity to discover newer music that they enjoy.

In generall it can be said that musical taste is an subjective opinion. There is no wrong or right. For me personally it is the passion from the artists and the organic sounds with real instruments that grab me everytime.
